Pure polyurea is a high-performance polymer consisting of amine and isocyanate compound without any additives. It is used in many areas such as waterproofing, anti-corrosion, anti-wear and anti-corrosion thanks to its fast curing, insensitive to moisture, chemical and abrasion resistant properties. It can be easily applied to different surfaces such as concrete, metal and wood, and provides long-lasting protection by creating a seamless and homogeneous coating. Pure Polyurea is a high-tech material preferred in many sectors such as construction, automotive and marine.

POLIUREA PR Two Component Pure Polyurea

It is a pure aromatic polyurea based, two-component, 100% solid, waterproofing membrane that can be applied only by machine under all weather conditions as it cures very fast.

Application Areas

Roofs, terraces and terrace gardens, foundation and curtain insulation, reinforced concrete and sheet metal, tunnels, waste collection tanks, insulation and coatings of parking lots, water channels, pools and similar water tanks, waterproofing of green roofs, trapezoidal and sandwich panel roofs, waterproofing of green roofs

Application Features

Application surfaces must be dry, clean, bearing and solid. Dust, oil, grease, grease, paint and any similar dirt that will reduce adherence must be completely cleaned before application. Surface temperature should be min. +10C. Application surfaces should be free of defects such as pits, fractures, pores, segregation and cracks, should not be loose and should not be dusty. Where necessary, surface preparation should be done by shot blasting, milling, sanding or similar mechanical surface abrasion processes and all surfaces should be cleaned from dust with industrial vacuum tools. Under all conditions, surface adherence should be above 1.5N/mm2 and moisture content should be below 4%. During application, it must be ensured that the ground temperature is at least +3C above the specified dew point.

Warnings and Recommendations

Flammable, combustible and flammable products should be kept away during application. Smoking should be avoided. Care should be taken to ensure continuous ventilation of the application area. Protective equipment such as goggles and gloves should be used during application. In case of eye contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water. The product should be consumed by professional users, taking into account the data in the technical information section.

Shelf Life12 months from the date of production, provided that the packaging is not opened and damaged in a dry and moisture-free environment. The packaging should be tightly closed when not in use. Packages should be protected from frost and sun.

Apply at least two coats with a roller or brush. Wait 6-24 hours between coats.

Preparation of the Mixture

Preparation of Components:

Before starting the application, component B (amine resin) should be mixed in the barrel for at least 30 minutes until a homogeneous color is obtained. Mixing should continue during the application. It is important that the temperature of A and B components should be in the range of 25-30 -c before application. The components should not be diluted in any way.

Spray Machine Settings:

Polyurea is applied to floors with a spraying machine operating at high pressure and temperature. Machine settings should be checked continuously during application.

After all preparations are completed, polyurea is sprayed on the surface in 2 layers to obtain a minimum thickness of 2 mm. The application thickness should be checked regularly by cutting sample pieces from the floor or applying sample plates and measuring the thickness and the minimum thickness should be reached at every point. Thin parts or repairs should be made within 5 hours following the application. Completed surfaces should be protected from mechanical stress for at least 24 hours. Fresh surfaces should be protected from water, dew and similar external factors, dust, dirt and solvents. The dew point should be checked before and during application.

Mixing Ratio: It should be constantly checked whether the mixing ratio is correct by looking at the machine pressure hours.

Application Notes:

  • Do not apply on wet and frozen surfaces.
  • Necessary precautions should be taken in areas where water or water vapor is observed from the negative side.
  • Before application, soil moisture and adherence should be checked and dew point should be determined.
  • Do not mix other than the specified mixing ratio.
  • Equipment should be used to provide a maximum tolerance of ± 2% for the mixing ratio.
  • This product is only applied by experienced professionals.
  • Health & safety precautions must be taken in machine applications.

  • Two-component, heat-generating, high-pressure, proportioning machine should be used in the application. – Do not apply in areas close to the operating air conditioning unit.
  • Volatile bituminous materials may stain the coating.
  • Use the appropriate primer according to the surface.
