WATER KEEP
Soil Water Retention Polymer Gel
When mixed into the soil and the lower layers of plants, it acts as a water retainer that absorbs and holds large amounts of water and nutrients. It easily releases the absorbed water and nutrients, allowing the plant to access water and nutrients whenever needed during absorption and release periods.
– Increases the soil’s water retention capacity. Irrigation frequency can be reduced by up to 50%.
– Prevents water and nutrients from leaching out of the soil.
– Reduces evaporation from the soil.
– Improves the physical properties of the soil by aeration.
– Reduces the death of young saplings caused by transplant shock.
– Strengthens plant growth. For optimal absorption by plants, water and nutrients remain constantly available near the root zone.
– Protects the environment against drought and groundwater pollution.
– Water absorption capacity increases as water temperature rises.
– Degrades by 10-15% annually, with a lifespan of 5 years.

WaterKeep absorbs up to 600 times its own weight in pure water, turning into a gel.
It acts as a buffer for fertilizers; preventing fertilizers from leaching away as they are retained within the gel. Due to delayed fertilizer release, plants receive nutrients over an extended period.
It delays the wilting point; increasing the soil’s water retention capacity and postponing plant wilting. When 2 grams of WaterKeep is applied per kilogram of sandy soil, it doubles the water retention capacity compared to untreated soil.
Main usage areas;
– Nursery farming
– Lawns and sod
– Hydro-seeding
– Bare root dipping
– Animal bedding shavings
– Fertilizer mixtures
– Flower decoration
– Transport of cut flowers
- Nursery Farming
*Dig a hole about three times the size of the root system and mix 20-30 grams of WaterKeep into every m³ of surface soil.
*The polymer should be mixed evenly with the excavated soil. Set aside some untreated soil. Place the plant root at the bottom of the hole and fill the hole with soil mixed with WaterKeep. Ensure the product is evenly distributed around the root. Then cover the surface with 5 cm of untreated soil to prevent UV degradation of the polymer and water retention on the surface.
*Do not place unmixed product directly at the bottom of the hole.
- Lawns and Sod
*WaterKeep can be easily used throughout the growth stages of lawns. It promotes good germination, fast root growth, and uniform, proportionate grass growth. It has extensive use in greening golf courses and parks.
*Prepare and level the soil where grass will be sown.
*Spread WaterKeep on the soil surface. For more even distribution, a fertilizer spreader can be used.
*Mix WaterKeep into the soil up to 10 cm deep using mechanical hand tools.
*Sow grass seeds or lay sod. Use fertilizer if necessary.
- Hydro-seeding
*Seeds, fertilizers, and other products should be added last into the hydro-seeding tank. Stir for at least 15 minutes before spraying. Quantities should be adjusted based on soil type, slope, plant characteristics, and weather conditions.
*For a tank containing 10,000 liters of water and 200 kg of seed, 15-20 kg of WaterKeep should be mixed in.

- Bare Root Dipping
*Used to prevent drying of seedlings’ roots during transportation or transplantation over long distances.
*Mix 1 kg of WaterKeep into 150-200 liters of water, stirring slowly while adding the product.
*Allow the mixture to sit for 15 minutes to ensure maximum absorption. The longer the waiting time, the thicker the mixture will be and the better it adheres to the roots.
*Water-soluble worm and fungicide treatments can be added to the mixture for plant protection.
*WaterKeep can be used as an additive to dry shavings, replacing phosphate-based shavings previously used in livestock farms. This new generation of animal bedding offers many benefits:
– Provides drier resting areas for animals
– Reduces odor
– Better ammonia retention, improving manure fertilizer quality
– Phosphate-free, thus environmentally friendly
Fertilizer Mixing
*WaterKeep can be mixed with dry fertilizer preparations to prevent nutrient leaching from the soil. Plants fertilized with this mix show improved root development, and the environment is protected against leaching. Fertilizer manufacturers’ test results show better root growth.
*You can save between 15-30% on fertilizer usage.
*The polymer is added dry during fertilizer production.
- Flower Decoration
*WaterKeep is frequently used to color water in glass containers. WaterKeep granules can expand in colored solutions. Hydrogel is used in containers holding cut flowers.
*Usage Amount: 1 kg of WaterKeep per 150 liters of water.
Cut Flower Transport
WaterKeep, transformed into hydrogel, can be placed into sealed plastic bags. It is often used frozen for transporting heat-sensitive products like cut flowers. The hydrogel shows excellent resistance to temperature shocks and does not leak when thawed.
IMPORTANT USAGE INFORMATION
*The dry product swells significantly after hydration, turning into a gel.
*When mixed with soil, ensure at least 15% empty volume remains in the container to prevent overflow during irrigation.
*Do not place the dry product under plant stoppers as it may destabilize the plant after WaterKeep application.
*It is recommended to mix the dry product with moist or dry soil.
*If applied to dry soil, watering is recommended to activate the product immediately.
