Application Instructions
Before applying DryFIX Tile Paint, the surfaces to be painted must be thoroughly cleaned from all residues such as grease, dirt, dust, and rust, and must be dry. Proper surface cleaning is critical for long-lasting paint.
To prepare the paint mixture, add component B into component A and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. The prepared mixture has a usage life of approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. The paint can be applied with a roller, brush, or airless spray gun. During application, the ambient temperature should be between 15-35°C, surface temperature between 5-35°C, and humidity below 80%. For best results, two coats are recommended.
For odorless tile paint, velvet or mohair rollers are more suitable. For professional use, the solvent-based tile paint should be applied with synthetic epoxy rollers.
Important Note: Especially in shower cabins, invisible soap, shampoo, or detergent residues may prevent the paint from adhering properly, causing peeling. Therefore, shower cabins must be cleaned thoroughly with Dryfix Anti Slip Solution, sanded to prepare for painting, and rinsed thoroughly with water afterward.
Ensure grout lines are completely dry before painting by waiting at least 24 hours. Paint should not be applied on moist grout.

Preparation stage:
Glossy tiles must be prepared for painting by using Anti Slip Solution.
Apply Anti Slip Solution to the surface. Wait 45-60 minutes, then wash thoroughly with plenty of water.
Prepare the paint mixture by adding all of component B into component A and mix for about 3 minutes.
Surface temperature should be between 5-35°C, ambient temperature 15-35°C, and humidity should not exceed 80%. Two coats must be applied.
Application stage:
After ensuring the surface and grout joints are fully dry, apply the first coat of tile paint.
Use epoxy and mohair rollers for application. Roller choice is important to avoid roller marks and achieve a real ceramic texture.
Drying time for the first coat is approximately 4-8 hours, varying with temperature and humidity; shorter in summer and longer in winter.
After the first coat is fully dry, apply the second coat. There is no harm in prolonging the drying time of the first coat.
One day after finishing the second coat, apply Dryfix Glassy 100 Liquid Glass as a transparent coating on shower floors, non-sloped horizontal floor tiles, kitchen countertops, and similar surfaces. Liquid Glass ensures insulation for surfaces with intense water contact and extends the life of tile paint.
Post-application use:
You can walk on the surface one day after application. Avoid hot water contact, water pooling, and contact with sharp-hard objects for 10 days.
Attention! On flat surfaces like floors and countertops exposed to impacts, friction, and cleaning chemicals, use Dryfix Glassy 100 liquid glass after painting to protect the paint.
It is very important that the surface is clean for the tile paint to adhere fully. Invisible residues of shampoo or detergent in grout joints prevent paint adhesion. The smooth texture of glossy tile surfaces makes it difficult for paint to adhere well. Tiles should be abraded for good adhesion. Sanding can be done for abrasion. Dryfix Anti Slip Solution can also be used to abrade surfaces.
To increase adhesion, tile surfaces should not be smooth or glossy. This abrasion can be done by sanding or by applying DryFix Anti Slip Solution.
Manual sanding with sandpaper cannot effectively abrade ceramics. Be careful not to burn your hands due to heat generated during sanding. If you want to sand without solution, we recommend using a sanding machine.
It is important that the paint used for tiles is specifically formulated for tile surfaces. Acrylic and water-based paints will not last long on tiles. Therefore, we recommend using the solvent-free, odorless DryFix Faience Paint for tile painting.
