Bitumen Primer Primer A
Features of Bitumen Primer Prim A
Being solvent-free, it is environmentally friendly and can be comfortably used indoors. It can be applied to both dry and moist surfaces. After drying, it forms a continuous waterproof and vapor-proof layer on the surface. Used as a primer under bituminous coatings, as a waterproofing coating, and as an additive to enhance waterproofing and adhesion in cement-based mortars.
Application Areas
Used as a waterproofing primer in foundations and basement walls of buildings, and in wet or dry details such as kitchens and bathrooms.
Application Instructions
The surface to be coated must be cleaned from dust, dirt, rust, and oil; loose parts should be scraped off. Sharp edges and corners must be rounded. Before applying the primer on waterproofing surfaces, check surface smoothness, dryness, cleanliness, and ensure proper slope.
Once conditions are met, apply PRIM-A with a brush or spray at 150-200 g/m² and wait until fully dry. If necessary, it can be diluted up to 20% with water. Drying time is approximately 4-5 hours depending on weather conditions. For two-coat applications, the second coat should not be applied before the first is fully dry. Membrane adhesion work should start after the primer has completely dried. Depending on surface smoothness, average consumption is 150-200 g/m².
Mixing Preparation
Powder component should be slowly added into the liquid component and mixed with a medium-speed mixer at 400-600 rpm until homogeneous. The mixed material should be used within 1-2 hours.
