Two-Component Bituminous Waterproofing Coating – Bitumer 100 2K

The two-component bituminous waterproofing coating is suitable for the following applications:

• Waterproofing of foundations, basement walls and retaining walls.
• Protection of below-grade structures against ground moisture, seepage water and hydrostatic pressure, subject to the specified waterproofing requirements.
• Waterproofing of suitable wet areas and structural elements requiring protection against water ingress.
• Bonding of compatible thermal insulation boards used to protect the waterproofing layer.

• Prime the prepared substrate with DryFiX PRIM-A Bitumen Emulsion Primer and allow it to dry completely before applying the waterproofing coating.
• Apply the primer evenly using a suitable brush, avoiding excessive material accumulation on horizontal surfaces.
• Apply at least two coats using a brush, trowel or suitable spray equipment.
• Allow the first coat to dry completely before applying the second coat.
• Apply the second coat perpendicular to the first to achieve uniform coverage and a continuous waterproofing layer.
• Do not backfill the excavation until the coating has fully cured.
• Once curing is complete, install suitable thermal insulation or drainage protection boards before backfilling.

The substrate must be clean, sound, even and free from dust, oil, formwork release agents, cement laitance, loose particles and other contaminants that could affect adhesion. Remove any frost-damaged or unsound material before priming.

• Gradually add the powder component (Component B) to the liquid bitumen component (Component A).
• Mix thoroughly using a mechanical mixer at 400–600 rpm until a uniform, lump-free consistency is achieved.
• The prepared mixture has a pot life of approximately 1–2 hours and must be applied within this period.

• Do not apply during rainfall or when rain is expected.
• Protect freshly applied surfaces from frost, direct sunlight and strong winds for at least 24 hours.
• Apply the waterproofing coating to the positive side of the structure, where water exposure occurs.
• Lower temperatures may extend drying and curing times. Ensure the first coat has dried completely before applying subsequent coats.

CONSUMPTION: Approximately 2.00–5.00 kg/m², depending on the required coating thickness.

STORAGE CONDITIONS: Store in the original, unopened packaging in a cool, dry place.

SHELF LIFE: 12 months when stored under the recommended conditions.

PACKAGING: 30 kg two-component kit:

• Component A: 22 kg liquid bitumen.
• Component B: 8 kg powder.
