Intumescent Fire-Resistant Paint - No Fire Paint

Dryfix NO-FIRE PAINT is a single-component, water-based, air-drying coating optimized for fire protection. It is specifically formulated to protect structures from fire. During a fire, it delays the ignition of surfaces by flames and heat, effectively slowing the spread of fire. This extends the time available for escape and evacuation during a fire, allowing the building to be cleared safely.

Application Instructions

Before applying the product, the surface must be prepared mechanically using scrapers and abrasive machines. For the removal of substances such as oil, powerful cleaning agents and pressurized water can be used to eliminate residues.

Primer Application

For Plaster or Gypsum Surfaces: Dryfix Binder 100 Primer must be used. For Other Surfaces: Please consult our technical support line for the appropriate primer selection.

Application Details

• Application method: Airless spray machine or brush.
• Thinner: Max 3% water may be added.
• Airless nozzle size: 0.017″ – 0.023″
• Airless nozzle pressure: 200 bar [2900 psi]
• Surface temperature: +5°C to +35°C
• Relative humidity: < 80%

Note: The paint film thickness must be applied uniformly across the entire surface.

Important Notes / Important Information

• Thickness measurements specified in the project must be verified using dry film thickness gauges.
• If the required thickness is not achieved according to the performance table, the insufficient areas must be marked and re-coated.
• Pay close attention to primer application.
• Deficiencies in the primer prevent the steel from being sealed against airflow, which creates a risk of oxidation (corrosion).
• After the application is complete, protect the surface from rain, water, mechanical loads, and impacts for 24 hours.
• Never allow water to stand on the paint for long periods; prevent water pooling.
• Ensure adequate ventilation during application.
• Clean all tools and equipment with clean water immediately after use.
